Ice King (Real Name: Simon Petrikov) is a major character as well as the secondary antagonist of Adventure Time. His typical crime is to kidnap a princess and force her to marry him, in which Finn and Jake foil every time. As his name suggests, Ice King is also his title, announcing himself as King of Ice; the ruler of the Ice Kingdom. His magical abilities (with the exception of flight, which is contained within his beard) are contained within his crown, and he is therefore powerless without it. His crown is also the cause of his loss of sanity, his unusual blue skin color, his protruded goblin-like nose, blank eyes, and stark-white beard. Some time before the Mushroom War, he discovered the Enchiridion and bought the crown during his various expeditions around the world. Ice King's gender swapped character is the Ice Queen, as seen in "Fionna and Cake".

Despite being the show's main antagonist for most of the series, he can turn into a tragic hero and prove to be a valuable ally, as seen in the episodes "Mortal Recoil" and "Beyond this Earthly Realm."

Ice King is a blue, elderly man with unusually pointy fingers, pointy toes, sharp teeth, and a long goblin-like nose. He wears a dark blue tunic and has a large white beard that covers most of his body. Typically, the Ice King's weight varies in different episodes. Though the robe gives him the appearance of a fat and short man, Ice King's body is in fact exceptionally thin, with a very large and defined ribcage. Despite this, Ice King reveals that he is on a diet in "What Have You Done?." However, in "I Remember You", "Bad Little Boy," and "Princess Potluck" he is shown to be fatter than usual. Confusingly, his regular emaciated state is shown again in "Mystery Dungeon," and "A Glitch is a Glitch."  Ice King is rarely seen without his crown; without it he is powerless and he is revealed to have a short length of white hair atop his head. The only time he has been seen in shoes was when he was working out before Slime Princess came to talk to him in "Loyalty to the King." Ice king has no visible ears when his beard/hair was removed in "Loyalty to the King" and "Mystery Dungeon."

Simon Petricov.

Sometime before the Mushroom War, Ice King was a normal, olive-skinned, dark-haired, glasses-wearing human named Simon Petrikov studying to be an antiquarian (a specialist in the knowledge of ancient artifacts). He had a young fiancée named Betty, whom he referred to as his "princess" and loved dearly, and was Marceline's "beloved friend" and guardian before his eventual abandonment of her. In "I Remember You", it was revealed that Simon Petrikov had discovered The Enchiridion at some point in his career, with the article pictured mentioning he was a Professor of Archaeology. It can also be inferred that Simon possibly lived in or made his way to the state of California, due to both the background images and the wreckage of the area surrounding the U.S. 101 exit in "I Remember You."

At some point in his career, he purchased a strange jeweled crown from an old dock worker in Northern Scandinavia. After bringing the crown home, he put it on his head to make Betty laugh, but the crown caused him to black out and experience odd visions. He "shouted at the visions, fought with them until he realized it wasn't real; it was the crown".

Petrikov had no recollection of what he had said or done while wearing the crown, though it was enough to frighten away his fiancée. Simon never heard or saw Betty ever again and began to record himself on VHS tape so people would know his story. As time passed, Petrikov would hear voices and continued having disturbing visions without even putting the crown on. Over time, his skin turned light blue, his nose became pointy and long, his eyes and hair turned white, he grew a full beard, and his body temperature dwindled to an unnatural low of 30°C, or 86°F (normal human body temperature is 37°C or 98.6°F). Despite these unnatural body conditions and being in a land covered by snow, Petrikov managed to survive.

As his mind and body became further twisted by the crown, Simon thought himself "too far gone" to find an escape from its influence, though he hoped that he could one day regain his sanity enough so that Betty, his "princess," would come back and love him again.

During a period of the Mushroom War before Simon was completely lost, he discovered Marceline crying in the wreckage, where he gave her a stuffed toy from a toy shop destroyed in the conflict to comfort her. This toy would eventually become Marceline's precious Hambo, which she would keep and cherish until it was sold to a witch by her ex-boyfriend, Ash. Marceline described Hambo to Ash as her "favorite thing in the world." She was seen alone with a worn-out version of the stuffed toy when Finn and Jake visited her memories, possibly several years after Simon gave it to her.

Sometime when the Ice King was still Simon Petrikov, he had found the ancient text of heroes, the Enchiridion, during an expedition to the Hindu Kush mountain range. This is shown in a newspaper clipping that Marceline shows him in the episode "I Remember You" The newspaper heading reads, "Simon Petrikov Unearths Ancient Treasure", and was written by the journalist Bruce Guese. This newspaper clipping can be seen in an image above.

It could be implied that the crown he wore only sought to protect him. It taught him the secrets of the "ice and snow," so he would survive the Mushroom War, as it did for Farmworld Finn in "Finn the Human." However, in the same episode, Farmworld Finn mentioned the crown's "promise of power", implying the crown's seductive nature and negative influence.

As many years passed, Petrikov became disassociated from his original identity so completely that his only reaction to watching a video of his past was embarrassment at the idea of having once worn glasses. Further proof of his dissociation is shown in "What Have You Done?" when he responds to Jake's accusation of him stealing the crown with, "I didn't steal it. I made that item! Made it with the magic that I stole!" When others refer to him as "Simon" in his hearing, he is generally confused or ignores it (at one point even responding "What-mon?").  If Petrikov is still present at all, he has either been totally suppressed by the magic of the crown or his psyche is too far deep within the Labyrinth of his greatly-fractured mind.

He is no longer considered a human; the power of the crown not only twisted his mind, but his body as well. His species/race is now Wizard according to the writers.

In "Mortal Recoil," when Princess Bubblegum was at a risk of dying, Ice King mentioned something about if she dies, he would be lost in his own labyrinth of emotions, similar to what Petrikov says in "Holly Jolly Secrets Part II."

Ricardio is the Ice King's heart. Like Ice King he is in love with Princess Bubblegum. But he never succeeded when he was defeted by Finn and Jake, and a second time failed by being beaten by Princess Bubblegum. He returned to kill Princess Bubblegum in "Ricardio Strikes Again!," but once again failed when he was defeted by Finn, Jake, and Princess Bubblegum. Then in "Ricardio is Back," he wanted to get rid of Finn, Jake, and Princess Bubblegum all toegther but failed for the last time. Naturally, the Ice King is desperate for Ricardio to return to the inside of his body but Ricardio has no empathy for the Ice King, even beating him up and throwing him into a dumpster to die. Without his heart, the Ice King is virtually, but not completely, helpless, and will likely die without it after a time. In "Lady & Peebles" Ricardio escapes once again taking Ice King's internal sinews to fashion a body without regard for Ice King's well-being. Ricardio also calls the Ice King "Simon" in the episode "Lady & Peebles, revealing that Ricardio somewhat remembers Ice King's past life.

NEPTR with Ice King.

The Ice King and NEPTR interacted with each other again in "Mystery Dungeon", where they worked together to escape the eponymous dungeon, along with Tree TrunksShelby, and the Earl of Lemongrab. In the episode, it is shown that the Ice King no longer remembers who NEPTR is and had mistaken him for BMO. However, by the end of the episode, the two appear to have reestablished a relationship, with NEPTR trying to cheer up his "pappy".

Ice Prince[]

Ice Prince is Ice King's second son. He created Ice Prince. Ice King manly created him to capture princesses for him. But Ice Prince denied it and refused to hurt anyone witch Ice King called him a "disapointment," wich probably doesn't have a good relationship between themselves. Later in the episode "Ice Prince?," they fought with each other, witch Ice Prince came out victorious. Later in the series they continue to not to like each other that much.

The Ice King's moodiness in life is expressed toward them. He will portray paternal feelings towards them, often referring to himself as "daddy" in the third person, and can even be understanding to their childlike antics, such as when Gunter was breaking bottles in "Still." However he also treats them as slaves, often seen yelling, abusing, and in "Five Short Graybles" he threw several of them in the garbage and marooned Gunter on a drifting iceberg for his own selfish reasons. Though annoyed, Gunter came back, so the penguins seem to be quite loyal. In "Princess Monster Wife" they are also shown to act in fear of Ice King. He even said "clap harder or I'll smack your buns." In "Reign of Gunters," he is the only one who could stop Gunter from causing terror in the Candy Kingdom. Sometimes, Ice King can do favors for the penguins, as he allowed them to lick his tears (except for Gunter, who Ice King states has a low-salt diet), as seen in "Five More Short Graybles", and dance for their entertainment in "Another Five More Short Graybles".

Simon and Marceline

In "I Remember You," Ice King is revealed to have known Marceline in the past during the aftermath of the Mushroom War. He is also the one who gave Marceline her old toy, Hambo. Although as much as Marceline remembers Ice King as Simon, he doesn't seem to remember her as much as she explains to him. It is implied through Marceline's dialogue that Ice King has repeatedly sought her out at her different residences over the years, but does not remember their past friendship or his life as Simon, something that angers Marceline and sometimes even drives her to tears.

In "Simon and Marcy," depicts this period of their lives, where Simon worked hard to keep young Marceline safe and happy in the devastated post-Mushroom War world.  In the flashback, Simon is shown to look for food for Marceline, entertain her with jokes, plays and songs (possibly inspiring her own interest in music) and risking his life to find her some chicken soup when she is sick.  However, it is also shown that Simon occasionally needed to put the ice crown on his head to access its powers to protect Marceline, and each time he did so accelerated his transformation into the Ice King, with longer hair and a longer nose, and a crazed, nonsensical personality.  Marceline was aware of the crown's effect on him and made him promise not to put it on, but Simon was forced to in order to save them from some mutants, and was only barely able to get the crown off.  Afterwards, he refers to her as "Gunther," indicating his transformation had continued.

A letter he wrote for her in the past indicates that Simon stayed away from Marceline because he was aware the crown's powers were sapping his sanity (and keeping him alive) as he turned into the Ice King, and that he was afraid of saying or doing something harmful to her based on recent events. He remains a fan of her music even as the Ice King, and irritates her by showing up at her doorstep to write a song to help him get princesses. However, despite her frustration with Ice King's behavior, Marceline maintains some affection for him, turning away Finn and Jake when they offer to wallop him for her, and eventually performing the duet "Remember You" with Ice King based on their past relationship. She also admits in her song "Nuts" that while she is deeply annoyed with Ice King, she is always glad to see him when he shows up. In addition the Ice King seems to still hold some concern for Marceline, immediately apologizing for shoving her and then hides on top of the refrigerator, showing more guilt than he does when doing much worse things against Finn or the other people of Ooo.

And in the episode, "Finn the Human," Farmworld Marceline is seen as an older woman, saying to Farmworld Finn that her beloved friend Simon Petrikov stopped a missile using the magic from his crown, then pointing to his skeleton under a frozen missile also stating that he could not save himself. Events surrounding the full nature of their past relationship have yet to be seen in the series.

Since the events of "I Remember You," Marceline has visited Ice King in his castle at least once, as shown in "Bad Little Boy." She also appears to be more tolerant of Ice King in this episode, showing that she forgives him for not remembering her. In "Simon and Marcy," a more 'in depth' relationship between them is explored. For example, Marceline invites him to play basketball. He is shown to have been like a father to her, being very protective of her, keeping his promises to her, and showing visible concern when she was ill.  In the present, Marceline tells Finn and Jake that the Ice King "means a lot" to her, and that she loves him.

Island Lady[]

In "The Party's Over, Isla de Señorita," Ice King washes up on the shore of an island, later revealed to be the Island Lady. Having chosen to move on from Bubblegum, Ice King stays on the Island Lady and builds himself a house from the materials on the Island Lady. Due to the time Ice King spent with the Island Lady, the two have bonded as friends.

With the two having similar problems (the problems being their love interest not spending time with them, even though Bubblegum isn't Ice King's girfriend), Ice King and the Island Lady are seen talking about this matter. Due to both's interactions, they inspire each other to break up with their love interest. According to Ice King, the Island Lady was as much as an inspiration to him as he was to her.

Love Intrest[]

Simon and Betty.

Betty was a human woman revealed to have once been the fiancée of a man named Simon Petrikov, who would much later become Ice King. She and Petrikov had a very committed relationship until Petrikov obtained an enchanted crown, which gradually began to alter his mind and body. When Petrikov put on the crown for the first time, something he did terrified and angered Betty and caused her to leave, as evidenced by Simon saying that "she looked at [him] with such contempt." Simon never saw her again, and he records on video his desperate wish to regain his sanity so that she might one day return to him. It is not known if she was killed during the Mushroom War, though most likely due to Simon's note in "I Remember You" saying that he and Marceline may be alone in the world after the apocalypse of the Mushroom Bomb.

Princess Bubblegum[]

Princess Bubblegum is Ice King's main love interest, but the relationshp is one-sided. Since Finn had a crush on Princess Bubblegum before meeting Flame Princess, this made it even harder for Ice King to maintain any relationship that will last with her. Finn and Ice King would usually be seen fighting for the affections of Princess Bubblegum in earlier episodes. It seems that he also captures her more than any other princess and enjoys being near her.

In "Mortal Folly," he even tries to get her attention and marry her, and even tells her that he loves her. However, after she temporarily turns thirteen, he is not interested in her. As of "What Have You Done?," Princess Bubblegum is completely willing to hurt the Ice King if forced to. In "Holly Jolly Secrets Part II," however, it has been shown that Princess Bubblegum and the Ice King are capable of being civil, even hanging out, presumably when Finn is around to prevent anything bad from happening. The three were shown wearing Christmas sweaters, drinking cocoa, and watching tapes contentedly.

In "What Have You Done?," he tries to be kind to Princess Bubblegum by making it "snow" (scratching his beard so his beard flakes fall) but instead makes everyone sick with Freezer Burn Flu . When Princess Bubblegum goes to him for help he denies it and thinks she's hitting on him, making her upset. However, she just regards him as "an old fool."

At the end of "Lady & Peebles," Princess Bubblegum creates a new heart for Ice King after rescuing him from the dungeon where Ricardio was. Although Princess Bubblegum dislikes Ice King, she does not wish for him to die.

Other Princesses[]

Aside from Princess Bubblegum, Ice King has shown an obsession with all the other princesses. His most common is Wildberry Princess, for unknown reasons. In "Hitman," Ice King states that Lumpy Space Princess and Ghost Princess are his least favorite princesses. This is due to the fact that he cannot hold Ghost Princess with his "love mitts." He also dislikes Lumpy Space Princess as he prefers smooth princesses, as stated in "Loyalty to the King." Although later in the episode, even when she punches in her lumps, he still rejected her so it seems he finds her personality annoying.

Fionna is a reverse gendered Finn created by Ice King for a series of fan fiction novels he has written involving adventures of her and her cat Cake. While generally fan-fictions, Ice King has generally turned himself into a Mary Sue character where Fionna is madly in love with him and the duo go on adventures together while confessing their love for each other.

While his creation, Ice King has obsessed in believing that Fionna is real and is willing to do anything to bring her to life; even attempting to bring a book of his to the Ancient Sleeping Magi of Life Giving, who in turn brings the book itself to life instead of creating a living, breathing Fionna. Regardless of the set-back, Ice King continues to believe that Fionna will be brought to life someday, all the while being called "delusional" by everyone. He also has a secret room with ice statues of her and Cake along with hundreds of fan fictions deep in his castle.

Party God[]

Ice King mentioned to Party God they both met once at one of Peppermint Butler's parties, but Party God had forgotten. Having chosen a different path, the Ice King spent quite a time with the Party God's girlfriend, the Island Lady.

Ice King was led to believe that the Island Lady should break up with the Party God because he doesn't pay attention to her at all and continues partying. But with the Island Lady too afraid break up with him, Ice King tried to break up with him for her. However, there's a misundertanding, and the Party God is led to believe Ice King is flirting with his girlfriend. Thus, a fight begins between them. Ice King won the battle and sent the Party God into space.

Finn and Jake[]

Ice King has a mixed view on Finn and Jake. The three are essentially friends, but since Ice King constantly kidnaps princesses and the two would have to save them, Ice King gets frustated that Finn and Jake stopped him from his motives, and Finn and Jake would consider Ice King as a foe and believes that every motive he does is evil, since this is what they always see from him. This is one of the main reasons Ice King usually has negative feelings towards Finn and Jake. However, as of "Mortal Recoil," Ice King has a more positive reaction to them. From then on, he frequently tries to be friends with them in his own misguided way and has willingly made alliances with them. In the episode "Still," the Ice King freezes Finn and Jake so they can have "bonding time."

Finn and Jake often misinterpret Ice King's actions as being part of some evil plan, such as his throwing out his "evil" collection of tapes in "Holly Jolly Secrets, Part I" and going to see Marceline about writing a song in "I Remember You." In "The Chamber of Frozen Blades," they sneak into his house and wind up breaking most of his stuff in their effort to find out about Ice King's plan to kidnap a princess, wherein in actuality, he had only just taken a pregnant Gunter to the hospital, though he does wind up kidnapping Doctor Princess while there). Though Ice King's actions rarely have malicious intent, Finn and Jake must often step in to stop him from kidnapping princesses, or when he forces them to spend time with him ("Still ," "Fionna and Cake," "Beyond this Earthly Realm").

In "Hitman," the Ice King makes it clear that he doesn't want to kill Finn or Jake—the most he would do is "punch [them] in the gut and make [them] spit up [their] lunch." In the episode "All the Little People," Finn does not put Ice King in the "C-list"er category, that characters such as Xergiok and Donny are in. Finn also mentions that Donny is "alright," which implies that Ice King is more than "alright" to Finn. In "Holly Jolly Secrets Part II," the Ice King is shown to have a locket with the pictures of Finn and Jake. Near the end of the episode, the three are shown snuggled up side-by-side by a roaring fire, wearing big Christmas sweaters.

In "When Wedding Bells Thaw" when Finn and Jake sabotage Ice King's wedding ceremony, through certain complications he ends up accidentally temporarily marrying Jake.

In "Princess Potluck", Ice King seems to think that Finn and Jake are his "BFs," though this is most likely the result of his skewed view of the world.

There is no direct relationship between The Ice King and BMO, although in "Holly Jolly Secrets Part I" he recognizes BMO's alarm. In "All the Little People," tiny BMO and tiny Ice King appear to have a relationship. Though, due to the random jokes often found in the series, this may not prove anything. The Ice King knows BMO's abilities as a computer, and confuses BMO with NEPTR in "Mystery Dungeon."

Tree Trunks[]

Ice King and Tree Trunks never interacted with each other until "Mystery Dungeon" where they will be working together, along with NEPTR, Earl of Lemongrab, and Shelby.

Ice King and Shelby never interacted with each other until "Mystery Dungeon" where they work together, along with NEPTR, Earl of Lemongrab, and Tree Trunks.

Earl of Lemongrab[]

Ice King and Lemongrab never interacted with each other until "Mystery Dungeon" where they work together, along with NEPTR, Shelby, and Tree Trunks. Lemongrab attempts to eat the Ice King twice over the duration of the episode, and attempts to kill him once for "having no purpose."

Flame Princess[]

During his song "Oh Bubblegum", the Ice King showed that he knew who Flame Princess was, calling her "all right", though it was not clear whether they had met before. In "Frost & Fire", Finn manipulated the Ice King and Flame Princess into fighting each other by falsely telling each that the other had insulted him/her. It is now currently unknown how the Ice King feels about Flame Princess; she damaged him and his kingdom quite badly during their final battle, but presumably the Ice King will realize that she had done so based upon misconceptions, so he might not blame her personally for it or hold a grudge.

Though (in earlier episodes) Ice King was portrayed as disagreeable and short-tempered, he is merely a nuisance and "isn't usually a serious threat", according to Princess Bubblegum. In later episodes, he is portrayed as more easy-going and having a sense of humor, particularly due to Ice King considering Finn and Jake his "friends" after the events of "Mortal Recoil." The Ice King is misunderstood, lonely, and only hopes of marrying a princess. He has been labeled a "sociopath" by the Cosmic Owl, though his personality seems more akin to a person with narcissistic personality disorder, as he still feels humiliation and guilt. Due to his poor social skills, enduring short attention span and arrogant nature, Ice King is unable to attract any of his prisoners and often resorts to a forced marriage instead of the loving relationship he desires. However, he can be a loving and selfless person as revealed in "Princess Monster Wife." Aside from Gunter, his other penguin guards, and numerous ice creatures, Ice King has few other friends and expresses a continual zeal to spend time with anyone who will tolerate his company, especially his frenemies, Finn and Jake. In "The Eyes," he takes on the disguise of a horse to spy on Finn and Jake in an effort to learn how to be happy, but fails that as well.

Despite Ice King's more antagonistic role, he plays the part of a protagonist in "Mortal Recoil," helping Finn and Jake to defeat Princess Bubblegum by freezing her Lich-possessed body; in the mini-episode, "The Wand," he actually helps Finn and Jake regardless of the fact that Finn said to "sacrifice" himself, but unbeknownst of the fact that it also changed his face.

Ice King is harmless in nature, and only kidnaps princesses and steals out of desperation. However, in the episode "Loyalty to the King," when he does have the opportunity to marry many princesses, he secretly plots to make an elite army of wives to take over the world with. His misunderstood intentions may either be in question or may just stem from his lunacy. His crown has made him insane over the years, affecting his social skills, causing him to unintentionally do bad things. Friendship and companionship is all he really wants, though goes about it the wrong way. In "I Remember You," and "Simon and Marcy", it is shown that he was tenderhearted and overly caring for others as Simon Petrikov. He watched over Marceline when she was a child left alone in the aftermath of the Mushroom War.

Due to the insanity brought by wearing the crown, Ice King seems to have limited memory. This was first seen in "I Remember You", where he doesn't seem to remember his past as Simon Petrikov, even though he saw the history (after he found the crown) in "Holly Jolly Secrets Part II." Later on, he doesn't remember who Neptr is, even though he was the one that wanted Neptr to accept as his father in Neptr's debut, "What is Life?," and even confuses him with BMO, as seen in the events of "Mystery Dungeon."

Ice King seems to find his happiness in his own Imagination Zone, and it is clear that he would rather live in his Imagination Zone than in the real world. In "Fionna and Cake," he is shown reading his gender-swapped fan fiction to Finn and Jake, based on the events and characters in the actual world. He is shown to cherish his fan fiction characters more than the real-life characters, and in "Mystery Dungeon" he tries to bring the characters to life, but he fails. In "Bad Little Boy," it is revealed that he had made ice sculptures of Fionna and Cake along with writing many other fan-fic stories.

Although Ice King is charaterized by these traits, Simon's personality is completely the opposite, and was known for his vast intelligence, kindness, and self-sacrifice. From the information given in Holly Jolly Secrets Part II, Simon was a deeply committed and loving fiancé to that of Betty. He proved to be the same way as a watchful guardian over a young Marceline. Even when they were in great danger, Simon struggled to keep Marceline happy and helped her to always see the better of a horrible situation. He took on a very responsible role in Marceline's life, by not only protecting her and keeping her healthy, but also by teaching her right from wrong and keeping her spirits high (as seen in "Simon & Marcy"). Simon, as a rule, was known for being greatly optimistic even at the worst of times and it is clearly one of Simon's most notable attributes. Even while being saddled with a great burden, Simon fought an apocalyptic world while fighting the omnipotent influence of the Ice Crown. Some of Simon's innermost thoughts and fears of his inevitable insanity were revealed in messages left to Marceline revealed in "I Remember You". Simon agonized over abandoning Marceline in a dangerous world due to his deteriorating mind. However, Simon, nearing the very end of his lucidity feared for his own life, worried that as the crown took him from Marceline, no one would be able to "save him". His vulnerability as a man was most evident just before he became the Ice King, permanently.

When Ice King is wearing his magic crown, it gives him the power to control all forms of ice and snow. This includes, but is not limited to, throwing ice lightning, moving ice with telekinesis, creating living manifestations of ice, turning water into ice, flash freezing his enemies, and the ability to onset wintry weather on cue. In "Thank You," the Ice King makes a full armor of ice and says that it is "invincible." However, Finn and Jake eventually chopped away the ice. Also, in the episode "Princess Potluck," it is shown that he can sense when someone is tampering with the snow/and or ice around the Ice Kingdom. However, it is not known if he can use this ability with snow outside of the Ice Kingdom.

His beard is apparently prehensile, operating much like a limb with partial shape-changing abilities, which he can wield in close combat. His beard also forms tiny wings that allow him to fly, although he must have both his beard and crown to fly. Because of his quick temper and arguably slow wit, he isn't able to wield his powers as effectively as he should, but has proven himself capable of swiftly defeating Finn and Jake when amply provoked, as shown in "When Wedding Bells Thaw" and "The Eyes." In "Loyalty to the King" he spouts blue fire like energy from his hands.

Ice King can also play the drums, once demonstrating a drum solo, and owns two drum sets, one of which is a green one with "#1 Babe" across the front. The set consists of a bass drum, a floor tom, a snare, a crash cymbal, a ride cymbal and a hi-hat. His other drum set, a red one, is in terrible shape, and smashed to pieces in a corner of his castle. He can also play the keyboard fairly decently. The fact that he has so many instruments lying around his castle indicates that he has a fair amount of musical ability. Also, in "Simon and Marcy," Simon shows that he sings songs to entertain Marcy, who says his songs are "so good." His drum sticks can also been seen in the side pocket of his backpack in any post-apocalyptic flashback.

In "The Chamber of Frozen Blades," the Ice King is shown to have studied the Ice Ninja art of Fridjitzu, and that his sanctum is filled with all sorts of ninja-esque weaponry and memorabilia.

Aside from his magic, Ice King owns a pair of nunchucks that he uses during the Wizard Battle to "cheat" as opposed to using his ice powers.
